Considering recent climate predictions, its better that you gear up for a soaring summer. Apart from all the other things, you need an air conditioner, at least in one of your rooms. Of course, if you look around, you will find endless options in split ACs, meant for contemporary homes. In this post, we will talk about Inverter AC in particular.

What’s an inverter AC?

Contrary to what the name may suggest, an inverter AC doesn’t run on an inverter. In other words, it won’t work when there is a power shutoff. An inverter AC uses the inverter technology, which basically converts AC power into DC. All the normal non-inverter air conditioners have a compressor motor, which starts and stops as required, to maintain the required temperature, whereas an inverter AC has a compressor that’s always on. Despite the fact that the compressor is always on, inverter ACs consume a lot less energy. Since there is an efficiency upgrade at many levels, inverter ACs are also more expensive, but certainly worth the extra money.

How does it work?

In case of non-inverter AC, the compressor motor starts at a very high speed and helps in cooling the room as required to the set temperature. After that point, the compressor motor stops and restarts again when the temperature starts to increase. As mentioned, the compressor motor of an inverter AC is always on, which helps in maintaining a constant room temperature.

In general, inverter ACs does have a few benefits. It takes lesser time to reach the desired temperature, and the startup time is reduced considerably. The overall unit is much quieter too, and there are no temperature fluctuations, which is a big plus for the peak summer. Also, since the energy bills are minimized, you save huge in the long run, so the cost difference is eventually covered.

What are the best inverter ACs in the Indian market?

The choices vary, but Voltas Inverter AC is counted among the best. Samsung, LG and Lloyd are some of the other brands that produce a considerable line of air conditioners that work on the invertor technology. If you intend to buy one, check the online stores, which often have the best deals and offers, and you can expect to get free delivery and installation services, as well. It is also a good idea to check the reviews from other customers. For a normal to medium sized room, capacity of 1.5 ton is considered to be enough. Energy Star ratings must be checked too, although inverter ACs tend to consume lesser power.

Find your options now and place your order to enjoy a cool summer. Don’t forget to check for offers and discounts online.
